It was a beautiful weekend filled with love, adventure, dancing, and joy. The kind of weekend you wish you could have every weekend as you escape city life, drive into the countryside and relax away celebrating a wonderful marriage of two friends, and just relax. Last weekend we were able to do exactly that. We drove down to Bowral, a place I hadn’t been to in years and my love never had been to checked into our hotel and made our way to the church (after a little nap!). As my first set of friends to wed it was such an honor to watch these two friends declare their love for one another before God, and their loved ones and especially to each other. It was such a beautiful ceremony and such a special occasion. After the wedding, we drove through Fitzroy Falls on our way to Kangaroo Valley where the reception was held and were blown away by the beautiful scenery, none of which we were able to capture sure to the winding roads and our focus on our safety, but it was beautiful and a moment we got to share together. Moment happen without photographic evidence, always have and always will and there is something special to be held in that.
The morning after the wedding we had a slow morning, checked out of our hotel, and strolled through the town of Bowral stopping for lunch at the Bespoke Letterpress Cafe. We dined on beautiful food, fish for me and pork belly for my love. We spent the rest of our time exploring the rich antique shops in town before jumping in the car for the journey back home and a restful evening. It was perfect. A little bit of heaven between our busy work schedules.
